Judy Cheney was born in Syracuse, NY, and spent her formative years in upstate NY and Ohio. She graduated from Hobart/William Smith College in 1976 with a BS in Psychology. She spent 35 years in the reinsurance business in New York City and Chicago, specializing in the casualty lines (workers’ compensation, general liability, trucking insurance, etc.). Her volunteer experience includes 10 years with the Glen Ellyn Children’s Resource Center (a non-profit for under-resourced children) and various positions at the First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn.
She and her family lived in Glen Ellyn, IL, for over 35 years. She was introduced to Glen Lake by her husband, Dave Cheney, and has been enjoying the Glen Lake experience for close to 40 years!
